We are very pleased to welcome both new and returning students to Warwick Volunteers! If you’ve not volunteered with us before, here’s how to get started:

Join Warwick Volunteers by here on the Portal by logging in using your university credentials
Tell us the types of activities you like by completing or editing your Profile
Choose an activity you want to participate in by browsing the volunteering roles available

Each volunteering activity runs differently according to the needs of the project. After registering you will receive more information from the organiser on what the next steps will be.

In addition to the roles available on the Portal, we also advertise opportunities in our regular newsletter (make sure you’ve told is in your Porfile that you want to receive this!). Some activities promoted in the newsletter are “External opportunities”; this means that Warwick Volunteers does not have any involvement with the management of these roles. These are not featured on the volunteering Portal and you will need to apply directly to the organiser via the details given.

Remember that you can log your volunteering hours for both Portal and External opportunities. Logged hours can count towards your Higher Education Achievement Record and as points towards the Warwick Award; you can also download a volunteering certificate once you’ve recorded over five hours. Logged hours can earn you other benefits such as WV-branded coffee cups and water bottles, so make sure to tell us what you’ve been doing!
